2024 NATIONALS INFORMATION
The AMMNA Championships Will be held in Brisbane, QLD, with the touring group departing from Canberra on Friday, 29 March 2024 and returning on Sunday, 07 April 2024.

Accommodation has been booked at the Quality Hotel, Robertson Gardens.
Athletes can look forward to staying in 2 bedroom villas with access to ample outdoor space, a pool and a number of other fantastic facilities.
The tournament will be held at the home of the Queensland Firebirds, Nissan Arena, only 1.7km from our accommodation.

COSTS
Touring athletes: Estimates to be $2,500 (subsidised by your nominating fee and acceptance fee)
Training Partners: Estimated to be $300 (subsidised by your nominating fee and acceptance fee)
Over the next few months, ACTMMNA will make final payments on things like flights and accommodation. Athletes are expected to make incremental payments to allow the association to pay deposits and relevant tour costs (most of which are due 30-60 days before the tour begins)

TRAINING
TRAINING SCHEDULE
It is the expectation of ACTMMNA that attendance at all training sessions is compulsory. It is a privilege to represent your state and we expect your full commitment to national's preparation.
Training will involve court and fitness session and will commence on Saturday, October 21st from 3.00pm-5.00pm at Netball ACT. Sessions will occur weekly thereafter between October 2023 and March 2024 with a four week break over Xmas. There will be home programs allocated to each athlete.

ADDITIONAL TRAINING INFORMATION

Conditioning (Fitness) will commence on Tuesday, 24 October 2023 from 6.00pm – 7.00pm on the Ovals next to Netball ACT (Lyneham). Fitness is mandatory unless discussed prior with head coach, Kim Symons. To discuss an exemption, please email Kim directly. We are very happy to work with cross-code athletes to ensure maximum participation in all sports.

Court Sessions will commence on Saturday, 28 October 2023 from 3.00pm – 5.00pm at Netball ACT (Lyneham). Again, all court sessions are mandatory unless an exemption is approved by head coach, Kim Symons. To discuss an exemption, please email Kim directly.

Squad induction is scheduled for Saturday, 28 October 2023 from 5.00pm – 6.00pm (immediately following training session 1). Your parents are encouraged to attend this session as we will be able to answer any/all questions you have regarding the squad environment, the program, and the AMMNA tour (for those successful in team selection).

A Simulation Day is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, 02 December 2023 from 9.00am-5.00pm (please note the extension of this session to commence from 9.00am, further details to be provided in the lead up).

Squad Bonding Is non-compulsory but highly encouraged as squad bonding will include both our junior and senior squad members
UNIFORMS
Uniforms will be provided by Struddys. An online ordering platform will be available shortly to make all uniform orders through.
